Summary:
Many tractor owners also have a pressure washer handy for cleaning the crud off their equipment after a hard days work. We all tend to overlook the common sense issue that exists when you spray cold water on a hot engine. Obviously this is not a good idea, but if you do some washing pay close attention that you do not get water on the engine compartment, particularly around the injectors because they have many parts close the outside of the engine that are very susceptible to the temperature change.

A great tool for cleaning off a tractor is a leaf blower. The high volume of air at relatively low pressure can be great for cleaning grass off mower decks and getting dust and chaff out from around radiators.
