Hi, I have an old IH tractor with a D264 engine that I'm replacing with a short block. The piston sleeves in the original engine are flush with the face of the block. The sleeves in the used short block are about 1/64" above the face of the block. (The person that I bought the short block said that it ran good but the head was cracked.) I made a jig to try to push the sleeves down but had no success. My question is, should the sleeves stick up that much? My only thought is maybe the engine had been rebuilt and the original sleeve seals and the new seals were installed. Any Ideas? Thank you in advance for your help, Loel
