My Kubota B8200 4wD tractor has a fusible link in the cranking motor's electrical circuit. Recently the fusible link burned out, requiring its replacement. Being the winter season, I have not yet troubleshot the cause, which could be a starter or solenoid issue. I'll diagnose the problem and make repairs when warm weather returns. In the mean time, as part of this issue, I would like to replace the fusible link with the appropriate gauge wire and either an after market fuse or circuit breaker that is easier and faster to service and fix without special ordering Kubota parts any time this problem re-appears. In short, I hate fusible links and want an alternative safety device.
Can you recomend the appropriate size wiring and fuse / circuit breaker size and type to replace this fusible link?
Thanks,
Dan Nicholson
