While attempting to add air to my tractor tires, water came gushing out of the valve...it had an odor like antifreeze. Can you tell me why there might be water in my tires. I recently bought the tractor used.

Anti-freeze is commonly added to tries as ballast rather than using cast wheels weights. Its probably best to leave the fluid in the tires as the tractor typically operates better that way. You can still change the air pressure by rolling the tire so the valve stem is above the fluid level.
