Have to pull cable through the tractor “firewall “ by pulling cable end and sliding around slot. It won’t fit through the hole and grommet.

The main complication was getting the cable through the hole in the housing at the radiator about halfway between the two ends. Once I figured out I had to expose the cable wire at the end and slide it through the small slit in the housing to be able to slide the cable itself though the rubber gasket in the housing, it all went well. I think another user referred to this but I didn't realize this problem was midway along the cable route. Should have read more carefully, in that case.

When putting cable in bracket, unscrew the first nut into the spring, pull to make cable appear and put in bracket and tighten both nuts. Cable housing won’t fit over bracket. Easier then it sounds.
