Easy install; takes more time to remove the mower deck than to replace this link.
Remove mower deck. Lower the mower rear links all the way to remove the slotted hole from the rear lift link boss, remove spring clip on the front pin, pull the pin.
Replaced this after I replaced the Rear Lift Link (K2581-44202), as I noticed the slot was worn from bouncing around on the worn boss of the the Rear Lift Link. My mower deck is almost always installed, so this piece didn't get damaged from hitting the ground. If this piece is falling off, your rear lift link is probably worn, or you're operating with the mower links in the lowered position while the mower deck is off.

The right side link came off as I was doing bucket work with no mower deck installed. It bent the front frame bracket as the arm made ground contact in reverse and twisted the link towards the outside. Bent the bracket back using a 4ft match pry bar against the loader round tube frame. Any idea on why this link could come off? I was in gravel so no debris made contact with link.
