With all the stuff nearby I was not able to get a wrench in position to remove the old one. I had to remove the footrest then it was easy to get to. Three bolts hold the footrest to the transmission and two bolts hold the fender to the footrest. The clutch and brake springs have to be unhooked at the back. Getting the front two transmission bolts back in place is a challenge if you have large fingers or not much patience. As a last resort, some of the clutch and brake parts can be removed to create more working room.
