Once you unscrew the back section off of the spool make sure the big spring doesn’t shoot the end of the spool off. After you have it separated you need to loosen the detent cap screw and remove the cap screw and all of the detent balls.once you have those removed you need to lay the body housing down with the male threads facing up. Use a small punch and small hammer to slide inside the small hole of the housing to tap the piston assembly out. Clean everything up and put some oil/lube on the new assembly before installing it and slide it in with the o-ring side facing the male threads. Don’t push it in to far as this will stop your detent balls from sitting in the correct position. If you do go to far just push it back down before adding your center detent ball, cup and spring.
