I don't know why this has a roll pin inserted into the top end. Before I found the correct diagram showing this part (which took more than an hour over several attempts) I tried to unscrew this part, but it get very hard. Eventually I wedged it between two tree trunks and use a 4 foot pipe on the ratchet arm to unscrew this part from the ratchet lifting part. Then I saw that the roll pin had been there apparently so this part would not unscrew all the way and fall out? Anyway, forcing it out as I did, I damaged the threads and thus had to replace this part. (Originally I was replaced the part above this - the ratchet lift mechanism, but since I damaged the threads on this 65240, I had to but this 65240 part.
