total time: 60 minutes with the valve removed and on a workbench, already 'cleaned' and ready for disassembly. Our process (no shop manual on hand):
removed the tie bolts
laid it on its side
removed one segment at a time. Be AWARE that there is a SPRING (and a circular 'cup' the spring SITS in) in between 2 of the segments. The spring and cup can fall out. Pretty obvious where it goes.
Also, have a torque wrench to use.
