The only tricky part of installing this starter solenoid is getting the tip nylon part hooked into the yoke that pushes the starter gear out to engage the flywheel. The first time I installed it I just popped it on and didn't pay attention to hooking the yoke. As a result, as soon as I hooked battery cable back up, the solenoid was engaged and spinning because the tip was pushed back causing the switch to make contact. I ended up removing the starter from the mower so that I could see to catch the yoke with the tip of the solenoid plunger.
