On a BX2230D be sure to remove the cowling before you begin removal & installation of the steering cylinder which makes reinstalling the fluid hoses much easier and make sure you have a medium to large snap ring pliers to remove and reinstall the old ones. Otherwise, somewhat straight forward.

Purchase 2 new hydraulic line elbows (K2561-41580) don't try to reuse elbows. They are impossible to remove from the old steering cylinder without shearing off.
Extremely limited room to get your hand under the protective frame to thread the hydraulic line onto the elbow. Suggest supporting cylinder weight with bungee/clamp, connect the longest hydraulic line first, then connect the shortest line.

Not hard but a crows foot for the passenger side fitting helps a lot. And hammer holding ears in the front as you tighten the 2 bolts in the back of the mounting tabs to keep the cylinder straight as you mount it up solid.
