The entire shaft needs to be loosened to have clearance to change this part. I used the parts diagram to figure out how the " blocks" hold it all together.

Installation should be much quicker than 2 hours. I couldn't get one of the bolts to thread during the re-installation. After a lot of cussing and attempts and a stripped bolt, I removed the new unit and discovered paint on the inside of the threads of one of the welded nuts. I finished the job with JB Weld to hold the stripped bolt/nut. If/ when that fails I'll have to have the nut re-threaded. Otherwise, function is perfect and installation only required removing the left rear wheel and mower deck. I bet if all things were perfect, installation could be as short as 20 mins.
