The repair resulted from seeing a slow leak where the hose is attached to the radiator. The new hose leaked the same way the old one was. The problem in the end was the thermostat sticking closed. Once I realized the thermostat was bad the repair went easier. Problem for me was to access the hose meant removing the muffler and draining out the radiator.
