#70000-00297 Block Heater Kit

This part took about an hour to install, which included putting buckets in place to catch antifreeze. Used a punch to work the edge of the existing freeze plug, which turned it in the opening and allowed it to be removed. Jacked up the left side of the tractor slightly to prevent additional antifreeze from coming out for the install. Cleaned the opening and applied red threadlocker to the bushing. Once set in place with a bite on the block, I used a piece of wood with perfectly flat cuts on each end to drive it in the block with a rubber mallet. Applied plumber’s tape to the threads of the heater and installed, noting the orientation of the element so I could route my plug back towards the driver’s seat for easy access. Used zip ties to secure and a short piece of wire look to protect the cord.
