Spray Tip Calculation

The GPM Calculator can be used for any spray tip chart that displays values for gallon per minute of individual tips.

Step 1: Calculate GPM of each spray tip

Step 2: Use the appropriate spray tip chart for the desired spray tip

After entering requested values in the gallons per minute (GPM) calculator above, match the "GPM results for each nozzle" with the closest value in the column entitled "Nozzle Capacity GPM" of the tip chart that coincides with the sprayer tips being used. Matching the closest value in the chart with the results in the above calculator will show which tip is needed and the psi required to achieve the desired spraying application. Example: The example chart below is a partial chart for the Green Leaf Turbo Drop® XL Nozzle. An individual wants to apply 15 gallons per acre (GPA) of spray material at 9 MPH and has 15 inch nozzle spacing. Enter the values into the GPM calculator above and select the "Calculate" button. The GPM for each nozzle displays 0.34. This value matches the tip part number 07.06773 in chart below when spraying at 50 PSI. The individual could also use tip part number 07.17371 spraying at a lower pressure. Note: The right side of the chart should not be used because its values only relate to 20" spacings; the individual in the example has 15" spacing. Green Leaf Turbo Drop Spray Tips
