The Atlas is rated for up to 2000 gallon liquid systems, or you can equip it with either a 13' or 14' dry spinner box depending on the Atlas wheelbase option.

Drive Train

The Atlas off-road chassis feature an unbeatable team of drive line components with legendary performance.

  • A 365 Cummins QSL 8.9L diesel engine supplies the power with great fuel economy and excellent cold weather starting. The cooling package features a single pass design to optimize air flow and more efficient cooling.
  • Smooth, trouble-free transfer of power from an Allison 6-speed automatic “close ratio” transmission with two shift schedules, a simple push-button shift control, and a transmission oil cooler.
  • The Atlas puts the power to the ground with a double reduction Axletech axle with outboard planetary hubs and 2-speed axle ratio.

You’ll find the perfect speed for every condition and situation.  High and low ranges provide an efficient working speeds from 6.1 to 29.7 mph at full throttle.
Sophisticated air braking system

You’ll enjoy excellent stopping power with 4-wheel air brakes. The two frame rails create a huge air reservoir.

Frame & front axle

The Miller Atlas has evolved from a rock solid legacy of high strength off-road chassis building. High strength steel, 4 walled tubular frame rails with tubular and channel cross members are built to handle the load of a 2000 gallon tank filled with 32% liquid nitrogen.

The front axle is an EATON wide-track with a 6" diameter tube and minimum 18,000 lb. load rating, along with twin hydraulic steering cylinders.  The wheel bearings are low maintenance Stemco sealed oil-bath bearings.
The Atlas 3654 is auto-steer capable.

Atlas cab and controls

The command center is a center-mounted Deluxe 90 Series cab for exceptional visibility and control. You’ll appreciate the easy access steps and platform with a walkway to the engine area. It features a large door for easy entry and a comfortable high back Air-Ride seat with an ergonomically designed control panel arm rest. Commonly used controls are built into the armrest and float with the seat. An instructional seat is included.

This state-of-the-art cab is pressurized and charcoal filtered with a standard equipment engine & transmission monitor, heat and air conditioning, a tilt/telescoping steering column, AM-FM radio with weather band and CD player, as well as an HID light option.  The cab is well cushioned on account of the air-ride suspension with leveling valve.

Multi-tasking from floater to row cropping

Atlas chassis feature year-long utilization and easy conversion.

The Atlas offers the versatility to transform from floater to row crop unit. Removable fenders are part of this conversion package to give you an exceptional row crop site line to the front tires from the Atlas cab. Row crop tires are centered at 90" tread width.

FAST: Two Sprayers For the Price of One at Messick's

The 9600N model maintains the short-coupled advantage Fast customers already appreciate for producing less crop damage and adds several new features. The center section has been redesigned, allowing for a narrower transport width—great for narrow roads and field approaches. In addition, the boom-fold configuration takes less storage space, which means it will take up less storage space in the shed. The 9600N is available with high capacity 1,050 and 1,350 gallon, low-profile tanks. The new design maintains the same center-pivot center section customers have come to trust.

“We removed the extendable hitch on this model, which reduces weight and helps keep manufacturing cost down,” remarks Verlyn Fast, owner of Fast Manufacturing, “And we’re passing that cost savings on to our customers. We are always looking for ways to bring value to customers, and this new sprayer stands to be a prime product in our lineup.”

Fast sprayers are available at Messick's in Abbottstown and Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Contact at 800-222-3373 or www.messicks.com. Online parts available 24/7 with fast parts as well.

Miller's Versatile Mid-size Nitro N2XP

by Advertising 11. April 2011 19:00

The mid-size N2XP is a versatile sprayer designed to meet the needs of both farm operators and custom applicators. This sprayer is an ideal fit for most specialized row crop applications due to it’s unique wheel spacing configurations. The ability to hydraulically change the wheel spacing from 74” to 120” allows the operator to perform in an almost limitless array of crop configurations. This is enhanced with the optional 4 wheel steering the reduces the 18’ turning radius down to a mere 10 feet, to reduce crop damage at headlands or to ensure the front and rear wheels stay in the same track in tight headlands.

The spacious 90 Series cab offers exceptional comfort, low sound levels, and a charcoal filtration system. All controls are within easy reach, while the operator has a command view of the entire boom out of the front of the cab. Operator comfort is further enhanced by the Air-Ride cab with leveling system, Deluxe Air-Ride seat, and state of the art four wheel independent air ride suspension. The N2XP makes short work of long days.

The drive system on the N2XP features high levels of performance. The new 215 horsepower Cummins 6.7 L QSB Tier III engine can power through the toughest field conditions, while reaching an impressive 36 miles per hour on the road.

Delivering the explosive power and torque to the ground are the Twin Sundstrand Torq-Trac™ hydrostatic drive pumps, coupled to four Poclain MW14 wheel drive motors. The new optional SmartDrive® traction control manages the flow of hydraulic oil to each wheel drive motor, preventing individual wheels from spinning in difficult field conditions.

How do you stop all that power? As with the Nitro 4000 Series, the N2XP features four-wheel dynamic braking, along with traditional hydrostatic breaking, ensuring positive stopping power from all 4 wheels.

True versatility comes from innovations like the Quick-Attach system that allows for the use of attachments such as the Miller Nitrogen Tool Bar, hooded spraying, swathing, and more. Choose from two tank sizes, 800 and 1000 gallons, in either poly or stainless steel, as well as booms ranging from 60 feet to 100 feet wide. For even greater utilization, the N2XP can even be equipped with a dry spinner box, maximizing the N2XP’s return on your investment.
