As this gear is the Hydraulic pump drive gear the pump will need to be removed prior to installation. If possible pressure wash area to keep dirt out of pump and lines. To remove the pump remove the 2 rubber return lines that are on the back upper part of the pressure regulator block and move them out of the way, remove the 2 banjo bolts from the block, (caution the upper banjo bolt houses a spring, do not lose) remove block by removing top two bolts (10mm wrench) and remove the banjo bolt on bottom rear of pump then wiggle the block out. Next remove the flange bolts from the line on the bottom front of the pump (10mm wrench or socket with a wobble joint) then remove the suction line on the rear of the pump, just the clamp back then push the hose off I recommend replacing it with a standard type screw hose clamp. Next remove the upper nut and bottom bolt (both 10mm wrench) on the pump then push it back and off of the housing (take note of the rubber oring around the pump as that is the seal to keep engine oil from leaking). Next the easiest way I found to remove the gear is to remove the snap ring on the gear and put a flathead screw driver or sharp pry bar in the groove and carefully work it out, locking pliers can also be used. Try not to mar up the mating surface as engine oil is present at this spot and will leak. For install press the new bearing onto the new gear and install the snap ring then place in housing tapping lightly with hammer until gears line up then tap with hammer until bottomed out. Install everything in reverse order.
