Unlike others, found the drill bit worked great and no need to use a drill punch, just use the existing holes on the grate, also drill a hole in the catch release on the OEM grill and a hole on the left side of it and strung a coated wire through both the make releasing the grill easier.

The drill bit that came with it was great very sharp went right thru the metal. Brush Screen Kit was the right choice for my L4701 kobota.

After securing lower mounts with factory hardware. Use two clamps to hold upper guard securely in place while spotting holes to drill in factory brush guard. This allows both hands free for center punching the metal before starting to drill and hands-free operation to drill holes and allows proper alignment prior to drilling as you can step back and make sure its correctly aligned. Great addition to my L4701. Takes away the worry I had about pressing a limb or branch through plastic grille while using grapple or forks.

1 1/16” wrench + Cresent wrench. 7/16 wrench for the top nut. Center punch + 1/8” starter drill bit. If I had to do it again it would take 1/2 the time. Great fit!

Worked slick. However make sure to have extra drill bit the one provided broke right off the bat. Other than that no problem. PS. I used clamps on the top side before drilling .

I didn’t remove front end loader. Just rested it on the ground. Plenty of room to work between loader and tractor.

I used a clamp to stabilize the guard when drilling small hole. Be careful not to stress the guard because this might misalign the holes when you go to put the bolt in.

One drill bit was sent which was nice to have the right size without having to run to the hardware store but you will need 2 for the job most likely.

After marking your holes use a punch to keep the drill from walking. I used a smaller bit than the one provided to drill a starter hole then switched to the provided bit. Set your drill on slow speed and use some oil.

Mount the bottom first then get a center punch to mark the upper holes. Drill a pilot hole then drill the final hole size. Easy install.

Nuts require a 27mm wrench. 1-1/16" is pretty much exactly the same size.

Use of a punch to start the drill and motor/cutting oil helps. Well built. Shipping was very speedy. Highly recommend.

After marking where the holes were to be drilled on the Kubota housing, I used an automatic center hole punch to help start the drilling. Then I used a small drill bit with cutting fluid to drill a pilot hole through the Kubota housing before using the larger bit for the main bolt hole.

We left grapple on and easily installed the guard. Install the guard on lower bolts, raise guard, mark upper holes. Use metal punch to indent the metal at marked area. Use 1/4" sharp metal bit to make a pilot hole. Spray chain oil as needed while drilling. Drill final hole with the correct size bit again using oil. Rotate guard to correct position and insert bolts. Finished.
