#434 SEAL

Wrecked 2 seals trying to get them in by tapping on edges-would not line up properly. Had to find some PVC pipe and an adapter that would match the the diameter of seal. Put that on top of a plate of steel on top of a small bottle jack and carefully jack up the PVC pipe while trying to keep it all lined up properly. The spindle shaft and seals must be oiled beforehand. I still had a one inch section of rubber seal stick and roll over. I managed to push it back in place with difficulty and some damage to the seal. But the first one went in fine and no leaks at the moment.
