Installation of the rod itself is pretty simple and straightforward. In my case, what made this a 3 day affair was the axle pin that the rod goes into was frozen in place due to lack of lubrication over 40 years. It was a slow process of heat with propane torch, spray PB Blaster, repeat, until pin could rotate. If not able to rotate freely the pin binds, bends, and eventually breaks this rod. Make sure that pin moves freely before installing.
