Replaced all four pinion gears on a Husky AWD, as they were badly worn. Each wheel took about 15 minutes. Once the wheel is removed, the pinion gear is easy to spot and is held on by a C-clip. Pop the clip; remove old gear; put new gear on, then clip it in. Check the gear attached to each wheel, too. Missing teeth on the wheel gear can prevent the mower from being AWD.
