Installation Tips

The actual install time of this plug is just seconds. However, the previous drain plug was broken off flush, so time was take to remove the old thread. I used a threaded bolt extractor (square fluted would have been better) but that didn’t work. I wound up drilling the previous part out in the middle with a 1/2” bit with a short cordless drill due to space limitations while still installed and used a utility blade to grab the remaining plastic and rotate it out of the threads. To install the new plug, I coated the threads with white lithium grease to make it easier to remove in the future and fitted it with a new washer from Messick's as well. To tighten the plug beyond finger right I used a crescent wrench and torqued until flush. Part fit perfectly into factory radiator.
