Installation Tips

L2350 has issues with the tach cable applying downward pressure to the gauge and breaking the tach over time. Shim it (1/8” to 3/16” tapered shim) or apply epoxy / jb weld around the base of the gauge where there cable attaches to prevent future issues.

The L2350 has a design flaw where the tach cable does not screw into the back of the tachometer without binding. The result is over time the socket on the back is forced into a downward position and eventually breaks the tach. I fashioned a plastic gasket that is thicker at the bottom than the top by about 1/8 inch. That changed the angle of the cable in relation to the back of the tachometer. Now the cable plugs in correctly without binding.
