Using grease when replacing seals makes it a lot easier.

For this particular cylinder, it was easier to just push with fingers the inner seal than having to mess with an install tool. Seal kept coming off the tool. Also, for that rigid outer ring seal, I put it in hot water for a bit to make it more pliable and easier to position into the deep groove.

Watch out for the hydraulic fluid! It’ll get you! Online most are saying to warm the inner gland seal otherwise it’s a pain to get in. Only if you put it in on the square cut side. Install from the beveled side and it goes right in.
