Unrated (40 minutes)
The blue rubber seals that go to the cap, I bowel in water, to soften the rubber. Wear gloves because it will be hot. They pop right in. I also ( don’t take the cylinder off). Before removing the Top pin, break the cap loose. Now remove the top pin. Unscrew the cap, and pull shaft out. Replace all rings. Repeat in reverse. You will need to have a pan to catch oil. Unloosen the bottom hose to relieve any pressure.

This can be a hard job if you lack the proper tool to install. That wasn't the case here. All the seals were easy to install, except for one (yellow). There is a secret to this one and that is warming the seal, but be careful not to break.

Heat the yellow hard seal in oil at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. It will become more pliable to allow for stretching it into place over the O-ring. Use gloves as the seal is still hot to the touch. After installing allow to sit for a hour or so, this will allow it time to shrink back down as it cools. You’re now ready to slide it back into the cylinder.
