Tools: Outside Snap Ring Pliers with good tips, Small Flashlight, Bench Vise, Small Regular Screw Driver. Place the gearbox in the vise and clamp only as tight as necessary to hold it steady. I was able to reassemble the output shaft into the gearbox without removing the input shaft or seals. The bevel gear for the output shaft was held in place by the input shaft and bevel gear. Therefore it was a matter of sliding the output shaft up through the bottom of the gearbox being careful not to damage the oil seal. The splines slid together easily and smoothly. No pressing required. If they don't slide together easy remove the shaft and check the splines for burs. The trick is to get the snap ring over the end of the spline shaft before it's fully engaged. Once the snap ring is over the end of the shaft you can push it down with a regular screw driver while you push up and the shaft until the snap ring reaches the groove in the spline shaft. It took me 3 attempts to get the snap ring over the end of the shaft. Patients!!!
