To remove the bearing- use a short piece of pipe(14"--20") make sure it is the same or very close to the outer race. Use the pipe as a drive bar. Tap the pipe with a hammer. The pipe will assure that even pressure is applied uniformly around the outer race of the bearing and it will come out straight. Once it is out clean the bearing cavity spotless. NO GREASE RESIDUE. Use graphite to lubricate the bearing cavity/ race in prep for bearing installation. Place bearing in the freezer for about 2 hours. This will help contract the outer race of the bearing. Remove bearing from the freezer, wrap in a rag to retain the cold. Set bearing in intended bearing cavity and with the pipe, lightly tap the new bearing back into the original location. Don't delay and allow the bearing temp to warm up. If it does, it will be a bit tighter going in. Once installed, install grease fitting, add 2 to 4 pumps of grease. Don't over grease the new bearing. It comes with enough grease already in it.
