Installation Tips

Original idler pulleys are different sizes and metal not plastic. Now both are same size and only 1 reducer bushing is needed not 2. I had to manufacture washers for the 7/8th bolt as the original spacer was not elevating the new one high enough to keep the raised center from rubbing on the mounting frame. Lucky for me I had several 1/2 bolt hole flat washers sitting by in a drawer I could drill out to 7/8ths and use. Otherwise another trip to hardware store to install what should have been a direct fitment but was not.

The pulley needs the sleeve installed inside the bearing race. I have found that freezing the sleeve (or any interference fit item) overnight makes it easier to press in.

Pulley came with 5/8 bore. Had to machine bushing to adapt to my 1/2” mounting bolts. You would think that if you take the part number out of the oem parts diagram and order it, it would come in correct.
