To install on batwing mower, you need to take the load off the pin to R & R. Raised both wings. Locked the other wing in the up position. Then attached a chain to both wings & let down the wing to be serviced until the pin was free & could be rotated by hand. Removed the cotter pin & pushed out the old pin. Pushed in new pin & replaced the hardened washers as needed. Always use new cotter pins, I like the Mil Spec cotters from McMasters & Carr as I have had these cotters break while mowing.
