Once you pull the plug on the bottom, getting the lower gear/bearing out to access the circlip can be tricky. Once the bore was as clean and free of burrs as possible, a large hex wrench worked through the oil drain plug allowed me to push out the bearing/gear. Enjoy your gear oil bath.

need good circlip pliers drain gear lube,best to remove knuckle casting clean all seal seat surfaces well and lube seals reassemble to knuckle casting off tractor and inverted. may require hammer/wood block persuasion to align circlips to grooves reattach assembly to tractor
