The original filter was very difficult to remove. Installing the new one was easy. The tractor takes a while to crank after changing the filter. It may help to add fuel to the new filter before install.

(Not sure if all the following steps are needed…this is how i had success)
Start with L4060 off-
Full fuel tank
Turn fuel off at water separator-
Remove old filter near front of engine-
Lube gasket with diesel on new filter-
Install-(do not fill will fuel)
Open air bleed bolt
Turn on fuel line at water separator-
Turn key to just before engine turn over and you should hear pump pushing diesel through and air bubbles at bleed bolt-
When only diesel no air tighten bolt-
Finished
Start tractor
