Used a chop saw to cut away the spring coils holding the end hubs on the old broken spring. Removed coil-end burrs on the new spring using a small grinder/polishing wheel so the hubs more easily screw in. Buffed the rust off the hubs with a wire wheel, then painted hub threads with a small amount of never-seize. Place hub in vise and started spring onto hub by hand. Used a large pipe wrench to screw the spring onto the hubs till seated.
