Slowly lift sender unit out of existing hole in tank. Install new grommet seal onto tank hole. Lower new sender into hole and press into place insuring seal is seated and even around the sender unit. Done.

the key is to carefully lift the fuel guage out of the tank...clean as needed. Remove old grommet. Clean receiving edge of tank opening. Seat the new grommet in the opening carefully. Then slowly press in the fuel gauge until completely seated in the new grommet. Do not over press and damage fuel gauge clear cover. Make sure gauge is completely down on the grommet for a good tight seal.
