On the 2424, the lift control valve in the differential cover blocks two of the bolt holes at the front left of the differential cover, and so, there are none. The result is a gap of roughly 12 inches with no bolts holding the cover tight to the housing. My cover is slightly warped, and leaked like a sieve in this area where no bolts are holding the cover tight to the housing. On my FIFTH attempt to seal this, keeping in mind the area only leaks when the tractor is moving, I decided that left side bull gear was throwing hytran into this area, and so I fabricated a sheet metal splash guard that I mounted inside the differential case with some 6-32 machine screws. I also used Permatex Permashield cement with a new gasket. I don't know if this will work or not. The original engineering design is very poor.....
