I have a 1997 Hustler 2500 with a 72” deck that works perfect for my property. I was able to replace both hydraulic pump input shaft seals by jacking up the mower, crawling underneath, and replacing the seals without taking the pumps off! What a blessing. I just took off the belt, loosened the two square-head set screws on each pulley, drilling a small hole in each seal and extracting the seals with a small screw and slide hammer. Installing the seals was easy. Just tapped them in with a socket and small hammer. Didn’t even need to drain the hydraulic tank! Easy peasy!
