Use the correct size funnel. I used my wife's cooking funnel with ?" opening and immediately turned the jug off oil upside down. It all ran on the floor so I ordered the 2.5 gal jug so that it had more time to fill when it overflowed.

The fill port location on my BX22 is awkward. Using a funnel with a long flexible neck helps.

Added about one pint after HST filter change. Used a long neck funnel to reach filler rather than removing backhoe.
