Tractors with the front auxiliary hydraulic control valve kit have a lock lever beside the auxiliary hydraulic control lever. In the lock position it holds the control lever in neutral so the valve cannot be actuated by accident. Dirt and chaff collect in the slot the lever moves in, and a packed slot keeps the lever from seating fully in lock. Kubota calls for cleaning the lever area every 50 hours. Tractors without the auxiliary valve do not have this lever and can skip this item.

Lock lever positions
Move the lock lever toward the lock symbol to lock the auxiliary hydraulic control lever, and toward the unlock symbol to free it. The lever should be in the lock position whenever the engine is started and whenever the auxiliary valve is not in use.
Cleaning the lever area
- Lower the implement to the ground, set the parking brake, stop the engine and remove the key.
- Brush or blow out the dirt and debris from the area the lock lever moves through.
- Wipe the lever and the surrounding surface clean.
- Move the lock lever between lock and unlock several times. It should move freely and seat fully in each position.
- If the lever is stiff from rust or sticky residue, clean it off and apply a small amount of oil or grease at the pivot. Do not force a stuck lever.
Parts
